Use the file menu to open, close, import and export files. You can also print and set your preferences for how certain things work.
File Menu
Finish with the current dialog to use the File menu to open, close, import, export or print documents.
This menu will create a new (empty) document, though first a dialog will appear asking you to choose a template or default document to base the new document on.
You can not currently create a new document.
This menu item will bring up a dialog to choose a document to view and edit.
You can not currently open a document.
This menu item will close the current window, if you have made any changes to the document in this window you will be asked if you want to save the document before closing.
There is no current window to close.
This menu item will save the current document to disk.
There are no changes to the current document that need saving or it does not make sense to save currently.
This menu item brings up a dialog which you can use to save the current document under a different name or in a different folder or in a different file format.
To save a file select one of its windows first.
Throw away all changes to the current document since the last time the document was saved to disk.
Select a document before reverting to the previously saved version.
Use this menu item to bring data from a file into a topic.
Used to add non-Arrange‚Ñ¢ files to a selected Arrange‚Ñ¢ document.
Lets you write the current topic to a file in any of several file formats.
You can export part of a document by selecting a topic and thenchoosing this menu item.
Add the contents of another document to the the current document. If the structure of the two documents are the same, then you are updating the current document.
Select a document to add to the current document.
Displays a dialog that lets you set various things about printing.
Open the document you want to setup for printing before choosing this.
Choose this to print from the front document.
Open the document you want to print before choosing this.
